Do-it-yourself renos are the rage…
Not that DIY home renovations ever was a fad but it does seem like everyone is fixing up something in their house to make it more appealing on whatever level. Why do home owners do this? Well for those who did not buy a brand new build, its usually rare that a home buyer finds the perfect house where nothing needs to be remodeled. There is usually something that is looked over as “that’s livable” until we can afford to “redo” the kitchen, the bathroom, or the floors.
The photos shown above are progress shots from the Gueverra’s. They decided to redo their house floors with hardwood floors. They opted for a sustainable solution with a story native to their city of Winnipeg.
That being reclaimed Elm hardwood flooring made from Dutch Elm Diseased trees reclaimed by the City of Winnipeg which is in turn milled by us (Wood Anchor) to produce these one of a kind (in the world) floors!
The Gueverra’s plan on finishing the floors with OSMO Polyx Hardwax Oil. A finish that we love and use all the time! Can’t wait to see the final finish guys!!
